I love this store, they are very knowledgeable and give you great advise. Unlike the other large hardware stores like Home Depot Van Nest Hardware excels in customer service. I'm one to support our local business but sometimes I find their prices a bit more on the high side particularly on their paints otherwise the rest are comparative to others if not more affordable.

I can't speak to their work, but once you call them be prepared for incessant phone calls. I called to get a price on a spare car key, which they would only provide after connecting me with a technician. After speaking with the technician and determining the key was going to cost $185-$225 I needed to speak with my mother in law first (it's for her car). I told them I would call them back another day and they have called me four more times today continuing to ask me if I need the key. The last time I began to explain (again) that I would call them back another day after speaking with my mother in law and that if they don't stop calling I won't be using them... and they hung up the phone on me before I could finish my sentence. I didn't yell, curse, or say anything warranting a company hanging up the phone on me after badgering me with four phone calls in 5 hours. Unbelievably rude, you couldn't pay me to do business with this company.
